Printer Paper: The Best Quality Printing
Printing for certain people is just a matter of showing some results or submitting their work. For some others, it is their profession. For this group of people, printing can not be a simple thing, and in fact it involves so many things for perfection.
One of the most important elements in printing is the paper itself. There are basically two different types of printing papers, one is the common ones, and the other is the professional high quality ones. Common printing paper is the one we use at home. On the other hand, professional printing can not be using common 70 gram papers, but instead it uses extremely high quality papers.
Both the common paper and the professional one come in various sizes including A5, A4, A3 and A2.
Common Printing
A common paper can weigh between 70 grams to 100 grams or even more in hardcore printing purposes. Card stock usually weighs more than 110 grams. This paper usually looks normal, without any glossiness or smoothness. It can be used in all types of printers such as inkjet, bubblejet, and laserjet printers. When you buy this type of paper, make sure it is branded and of good quality. This is to avoid the printing ink to leave smudges on the paper, or the printing to be visible on the other side. Such paper is also known as general purpose paper.
Professional Printing
This type of paper can be divided into several different types, which includes A size paper, brochure paper, photo laser paper, non-tear and waterproof paper, wide format inkjet paper, high gloss paper, high density color laser paper, and many more. The unique part about this type of paper is that it is usually twice thicker than the common or general purpose paper. And it lasts twice longer as well.
This type of paper is usually used in printing cards, magazines, glossy brochures and flyers, books, certificates, photos, posters, and many more. The ink is also generally more expensive than the one used to print on common papers. The ink would not smudge and usually the paper is waterproof, although there is a separate category of paper called waterproof paper.
The print on such papers is more lasting as well. This is because of the density of the paper, which protects the ink or print from getting exposed to dangers that could deteriorate the quality of the paper such as water.
